20 FILMS ON THE SCREENS OF WARSAW According to the recently published statistics, 26 Polish films and 168 foreign productions have been screened last year in the cinemas of Warsaw. The total of 75,500 performances were seen by more than 17 ml, cinemagoers, this means an average of 14 performances per inhabitant of the capital. No traffic deaths were reported but this city of 1,250,000 had a record 1,500 ambulance calls during the two-day official Christmas holiday. The Polish Press Agency said nearly all were cases of overeating and indigestion. The traditional Polish Christmas Eve meal has 12 courses.
