Lies My Father Told Me will finally open in early 1975 in Montreal. Jan Kadar’s long-awaited and much-delayed comedy drama from the screenplay by Ted Allan is based on Allan’s boyhood in Montreal’s immigrant community in the 1920’s. Produced by Harry Gulkin and Anthony Bedrich, distributed by Astral Films, Lies My Father Told Me is a Pentimento and Pentacle VIII production starring Yossi Yadin, Len Birman, Marilyn Lightstone and introducing Jeffrey Lynas.
