Pan up as Wallis trudges reluctantly towards the corner. 36 Shorty quickly pockets the money in his cap, glances towards Lacker/ s hiding place, and then places his cap on his head with deliberate exaggeration. 37 Lackery in his side-turning see Shorty's signal and launches bravely out into the main road.
