Liana de Sombrey, mén kan I niet ontkennen, heeft een aller- beminneiijksten glimlach. Voor de Nederlandsche dames, wier lieve, lachende gedichtjes in dit nummer voorkomen, zou ze een geweldige concurrente zijn. Maar ze is „hors concours’ , de dames be- hoeven haar niet te vreezen.* Doch als men de foto’s aan- schouwt, is ’t dan te verwonderen, dat ze als cabaretière een succes- volle loopbaan heeft? Een aardig tiguur, misschien een ietsje te mollig naar sommiger smaak, maar waaraan juist daardoor alle costuumpjes zeer goed staan. Dan een expressie! en gelijk- tijdig blijmoedig gelaat, in staat om ook anderen in een vroolijke bui te brengen. Probeer ’t eens, een sip gezicht te trekken bij ’t zien van dit persoontje. Zoo’n vrouw is in de wieg gelegd voor een geslaagde carrière! Manuelie del RIo.
