AIanley and Hose report success with their new act, "Young Sleuth," over the Frank Melville circuit of parks. They are booked solid till December. Lambbbt and Piejick and tbe Empire Comedy Four (Evans, Cunningham. Jenny and ZJnell) were entertained at the home of Robert D. Jones, a prominent Are Insurance man of Port Richmond, 8. I„ while playing Washington Park, Bayonne, N. J. The boys sat down to an elegant dinner, and after- ward went out in bia elegant steam yacht, "Avalanche," and bed a _ delightful sail around Staten Island. The boys sang sev- eral selections, and Lambert and Pierce en- tertained with their clever buck dancing. May Morrison, a niece of Mr. Jones, who christened tbe "Avalanche," presented each of the quartet and Lambert and Pierce with solid silver match safes as souvenirs. Cuablbs Fox opened July 110, for two weeks, at Salt Palace Theatre, Salt Lake Tub 'lamoinbb, who played Temple The- atre, Detroit. Mich., week of July 13, are booked solid for tbe Summer. Camillo and Fona, who recently closed a very successful engagement on tbe Boom cir- cuit of parks, are booked solid till October on the western circuit, playing parka and fairs. Job A. IIobdman writes: "I was at the Auditorium, Maiden, week of July IS, and sang nine songs nightly, not Including my monlogue." Raymond and Bobtonia have Just closed a very successful four weeks' engagement at the parks at Perth Amboy, Bayonne, North Bergen and Newark. They have signed for twenty weeks with Uulburd's Great Western Show, which opens shortly. Habbi Anthim and Ybtta Peters write: "We have been very successful with our new act, 'A Meal Under Difficulties,' and have not lost a week since January, having played the following circuits: Keith's, Proctor's, liaynes' and Sheedy's and tbo Howard. Tub Rilbt Sisters, vocalists and dancers, report success on tbe J. J. Flynn New En- gland park circuit, over which they are booked until Sept. 16. The Hoopbbb (Alvan and Kolb) write from Rocbefort, France: "We have now been In Europe two years, and are booked solid over here until Jan. 14, 100D. During our stay we have played In the following Euro- pean cities: Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Stockholm, Madrid. Warcbaw, Bordeaux, Lyons, Havre and Itocbefort. This year we have yet to appear at Koln, Brussels, Han- over and Amsterdam. The Rollings wort n Twins (Myrtle and Maud), who are being featured by the Elsen- barth-Henderson Floating Theatre Co., in their singing, dancing and dramatic work, are hard at work perfecting their musical education on piano, mandolin and violin. Frank Cuhiiman writes: "I have Just finished a six weeks' engagement at San Francisco, and have met with the greatest success of my career in tbe minstrel and vaudeville business. I have Just been en- caged as an extra attraction with R. J. Jose's Minstrels for five weeks, which is or- ganized now to tour the Pacific coast, com- mencing the season in Portland, Ore., July 11. Business is very prosperous out here in tbe vaudeville line. Davb Livingston, who Is spending the Summer at his borne In Grimsby, Ont., was made a Master Mason by Union Lodge. No. 7, A. K. and A. M. Mildred Wallbeb and Mabbllb Jackson have joined bands, and are doing a novelty sister act, entitled "A Mixed Affair," which lias been specially written for tbem. They will shortly appear In tbe East. Tub Capitol Citx Tbio, juvenile enter- tainers, were compelled to omft their novelty sketch at Sea Island City, week of July 0, on account of the Illness of Little Katbaryne, who 1b still under the doctor's care, but hopes to be out In a week or two. The con- tralto and tenor did a very creditable vocal turn. The trio was ably strengthened by La Dent, a young juggler. The uolbbooks report big success at tbe Bummer parks. Their time Is all filled for this season. Henry and Gallot are engaged by Ted Marks for his New York Theatre, courerts next season. John J. Shbppabd bas finished six weeks on tbe Casey circuit of parks at Far Rock- away. Tux St. Onge Bros, are a big success on the Casey circuit of parks. They sail for England In December. Tub Hugiieb Tbio appeared last week at the Steel Pier Theatre, Atlantic City, having successfully concluded engagements there at tbe Bijou and Doyle's Theatres, with Pas- tor's Theatre, New York, to follow. Notes fbom Duncan & Da Vebe'b Vaude- ville Co.—We are still on earth, and busi- ness continues very good. On May 18 Mrs. J. A. Duncan (Agnes De Vere) presented ber busband with a baby boy, In consequence of which Manager Duncan steps high. On June 6 we baa the pleasure of a visit to Campbell Bros.' Circus, and received a royal welcome from all. Campbell Bros, have an excellent show. Noticeable among other pleasant things was the genial Lee Grear shouting "all up for parade." Sam Mundy closed July 6, and was replaced by Frank Dickson, who Joined 8. Boater of company: John A. Duncan, manager; Agnes De Vere, John A. Duncan Jr., A. F. Dickson and Dr. J. W. Lee. Louie Bates, Impersonator, Is working at Cleveland for two weeks, after which he goes on tbe Frank Burt park circuit, opening at Evansvllle, Ind. Frank Haoar and Blanche Edwards closed a successful season of forty-six weeks with the Hunt Stock Co. at Flint, Mich., July 11, and will spend tbelr vacation at their borne at Lansing, Mich. They have signed with Edsall ft wlnthrope's Stock Co. for the coining season, Mr. Hagar for Juveniles and light comedy, and Miss Edwards for heavies and Ingenues. They open In August, and the tour extends through the Southern cities. Mar R. Stanley, singing and dancing sou- brette, began a return engagement, June 20, at Frtti's New Theatre, Portland, Ore., for the season. Four weeks were lost by sickness, but were msde up by numerous club and Sunday engagements. They will take a well earned rest of several weeks, and start tbe season with tbe following houses: Keith, Kobl & Castle, Anderson and Moore circuits, and Tony Pastor's. Lawrence Sylvester reports success wltb his new comedy ring act. He was at Sbady Side Park, Peeksklll, N. Y„ week of July 13, and has Proctor's Fifth Avenue to follow. The Barneys write: "We closed a two years' tour of the West at St. Louis. West End Heights Park, week of June 28. We played Trocadero, Chicago, week of July 12, play Chutes this week, and Sam T.
