The Mountain City Theatre was erected by Loots Plack In February, 188ft. It was opened In that month by the Emma Abbott Opera Company. It was the largest theatre between Philadelphia nad Pittsburgh, and seated 1,852 people. After the Ore a part of the stage was made over, and It traa occupied by the Harry Davis Museum.
