New BtnroiD, Mass., July 24. With the Johnny Jones' Snows' here only two weeks ngo snd with one rainy day for our por- tion, these shows did an enormous, business, and this ia proving one of the' biggest weeks so far of the twelve that this aggregation baa been en. four. While ttese snows are playing the' Northern end of the town end the Jones Shows played the Sooth end, both practically ahow to the same people, and this city can therefor be placed on the list as one of the best carnival towns In this territory. Tbe lot here is a line one and, as the city la surrounded on three sides by water, one. would think that we were playing on a beach, for at night the ocean breeses, with tbelr briny per- fume, remind many of the boys of their good old days »*. one of the many old beaches around dear old New York. Tbe roster of our organisation, remains the same es at the 'opening, with the exception- of a few additions to our -ranks of concessionaires. Benny Wolf Joined at Greenfield, Mass., with his "roil down," as did also Johnnie Goldsmith with his alhdetae show. Johnnie has Just received, from the Anchor Supply 00.. a new top, and it la some dandy. 35x70. Johnnie's modern- business methods should lesd aim to success, and he deserves It if any- cue ever did. Mr. and sirs. Datton, who also Joined st Green- field, with their crispetta c-utflt, are certainly gathering the shekels, and Dutton. never gives any of his customers any pennies In change, as he saves them oil to deposit at the bank rn. tbe njornuxg. Tbe boys now know where to spend their pennies and not have them' come back again. Col. Jim Conkxjn Is wondering how long s man must be in the show business to bo called Duels by nil the male members of the aggregation. James Rdbbbts, with the Blue Ribbon Shown. has received a new name from the boys with tills outfit, which sounds something like tbis, "Gordon J'm" (Gin). These shows continue to receive <hs highest commendations from the press and public In every city visited, for their clean, moral and high stand- ard of attractions and amusements. Harry Steen, who, since the opening of these shows at Osslnlng, N. Y., has had three con- cessions with these shows, closed at Pawtuckel, B. I., to play a number of fairs which be bad contracted before opening. Ail tbe "boya" were sorry to see Barry leave, and all wish blm the greatest success. Next week these shows play Taunton, Mass., and as this is an "Old Home Week," it Is to be expected that tbey all will do good. Tbe week following we go to New London, Conn., Aug. 8-8. Billt Kltsn, who Is doing the high dive with tbe Blue Blbbou aggregation Is awaiting a patent on s new device for blgb divers. This device Is nothing but a pair of ear-muffs to be used liy high-divers to prevent them from bearing tbe wind, when they are sp on tbe ladder. WnsLanr Salishubt. the secretary of the Blue Ribbon Shows, from all reports, is some baby boy In a bathing suit, and would lie quite an addltlou to OopL Harry Six's Congress of Juvenllo Diving Beauties, only that Skipper Woods soys his "bald pate" bars him from this claw and Woods knows, foe who else could better pick a chicken.
