That Clipper advertising pays in more ways than one was demonstrated again last weak. Alike Morris, general manager for the Joe Morris Music Company, Inserted an ad- vertisement of Jeff Branon and Arthur tango's latest song, called "The Eyes of the World," and besides getting tho usual over- flow of professional mall, received no leas than ten orders totaling some three thousand copies, from small towns as far West as tho Coast The song up to the time of the adver- tisement in Tub Clipper had never been sung on any stage or an advertisement placed In any theatrical paper. Mike Morris says, "Thb Clipper Is the greatett and only medium for music publishers." Tim New Yobs: Clipper says, "Mike Mor- ris knows what he Is talking about," and that The Clipper la the only theatrical paper that reaches the nerformer all tho time. DAVIS WORKING! NEW YORK STATU. Joseph Davis, who wrote "Down Where the Old Road Turns," Is boosting the num- ber In the music stores around New York State. He Is receiving some very good orders. The Imperial Motion Picture Co. have Jnst finished several reels on the song, and reports are most favorable. Sol Levoy smog it recently at the Harlem Opera House and it went over big. JOHHSON WITH FEIST. Howard Johnson, who recently Joined the I.eo Feist staff, has become oae of the most able assistants of Chief Kornhelser. How- ard has finished several good numbers that Feist will shortly announce. He la also busy writing versions of the hit songs of Feist's for many of the feature acts In vaudeville. Howard can always be found rh the Felat professional rooms. Pay him a visit, It may bo worth your while. TEDDY MORSE'S MUSINGS. He who advertises and falls to pay, May want to. but can't, some other day. The only thing "yellow" about the Wool- worth Co. Is the color of their orders. Everybody's breathlessly waiting for "that" hit, and you can safely bet your new Hal- maccan against that rakish "Truly Warner" that it won't be one of those "war" songs. Those bullets of "DuravDum" are putting things on the "bum-bum." ■Removal Notice.—Mort Oreen Is with Harry Von Tiller. With fingers young but rheumatic.
