The first one is base but human, and is entirely concerned with the saving of work. The second is because such articles, with their safe, secure statistics, are — as the title indicates — the pin that bursts the bubble. The fact that the bubbles to prick are as copious as the Lux suds in which you wash your sheerest underwear offers not discouragement but somewhat humorous prospects.
