@ Tenors: Giovanni Zenatello, Guido Ciccolini, of the Chicago Opera Co.; Reed Miller, Hardy Williamson, Vernon Dalhart and George Wilton Ballard. Q Violinists: Albert Spalding, Samuel Gardner, Isidore Moskowitz and Vasa Prihoda. @ What did these artists do? They stood beside the New Edison and sang, or played, in direct comparison with the New Edison’s Rr-CREATION ‘of their performances. It was found impossible to detect their living voices, or instrumental performances, from the New Edison’s RE-CREATION thereof. Thus, these artists and other great artists have proved that the New Edison RECREATES their voices with literal fidelity and in a way that baffles the keenest ear in the effort to detect the voice from the RE-CREATION. @ These tests were made on the concert platforms of Carnegie Hall, New York; Symphony Hall, Boston; the Astor Gallery, and other shrines of music. Upwards of five million music lovers and critics have attended such demonstrations throughout the United States and Canada, and have gone away marveling at an invention that could RrCREATE the human voice with such utter perfection that they could not tell the living voice from its Rr-CREATION, by the instrument ye bears the stamp of Edison’s genius. @ In view of the fact that they are distinctively different from talking-machine “‘records,’ and that they are mediums of the new art of Music’s RE-CREATION, it is fitting that the representations of original performances listed in this catalog be designated ‘‘ RE-CREATIONS.” Mr. Edison has the exclusive right to the use of this designation. uw
