We have not the slightest commercial connection with, nor financial dependence upon any branch or element of the great "visual" industry (Maps, Charts, Pictures, Slides, Films, or Projectors). We are interested solely in the cause—not in any private interests in that cause—and we have nothing to sell except the magazine, which we intend to make worth more than its price. It will be independent. We shall have no part in commercial competitions. We have already and shall maintain none but the most cordial relations with every mem- ber of the industry, and with every school, church and community, which constitute the vast market for that industry. We owe no obligation to any one interest that is not owed to every other. It will be reliable. We shall be in a position to give trustworthy information to readers, both in our pages and in correspondence with inquirers. We are making a magazine of truth and facts, of conscientious opinion and sound experi-
