That a realistic program of product development pays ofif when industry sales trends are down is being proved by DeVry Corporation. Chicago manufacturers of motion jjicture equipment. DeV'ry I6mm and 35mm sound projector sales currently are reported to be the highest in the company's .36-year history, whereas photographic industry sales are reported 20 to 25% below those of 1948.
Credit for DeVry's reversal of the industry sales trend, W. C. DeVry, the company's president, gives to a product development program started in 1943. In step with its product development program, DeVry has materially expanded its plant and production facilities and effected a completely new sales and distribution set-up.
