Now David has gone further afield to the elephant camps in Coorg, Cochin and Malabar — hundreds of miles. Meantime we are all keeping our eyes open here. Yesterday I spied a likely lad in the hotel yard and hauled him up for inspection. No ! He was a 'sweeper' (low caste) and kneeled and kissed our feet.
