THE EXHIBITOR 7 The slogan that "In Kingston, Courtesy Is Contagious", was constantly held before the public. Reade's Kingston here devotes a piece of the marquee to the banner, following the policy that courtesy should be sold as are pictures. Boy and Girl Scouts aided in making the drive a success in this com¬ munity. Since it became a week observed by the entire city, civic groups cooperated. Here a Girl Scout gives courtesy buttons to two shoppers. ;e®NT# Kingston service clubs demonstrated that they liked the idea of the drive. Bob Case, Reacfe city manager, receives a check to defray drive expenses from Robert Teetsel, right, president of the city's active Lions' Club. Employes H. J. Harkey, Robert Hansen, and John Tashjian watch as Mrs. Dorothy R. Wagner, Strand, Freehold, N. J., receives her savings bond from Joseph Sommer. She, too, was elected by many fellow employes. Tony Hunting, city manager. Red Bank, N. J., presents a U. S. Savings Bond to Sam Corse, Reade's Strand, who is wearing the slogan button and name tag which all employes used for the duration of the courtesy drive. Ralph Lanterman, city manager for Walter Reade Theatres in Morristown, N. J., presents a U. S. Savings Bond to Mrs. Florence Nelson, Jersey, who won the vote by all the employes of the Community, Park, and Jersey. February 23, 1949
