We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

THE NEW IN PATRON COMFORT and HYGIENE Photographs by Jay Emanuel Publications, or through the courtesy of Chicago Hardware and Foundry Co. UTILIZATION of mezzanine space in the Polk Avenue Theatre, Jackson Heights, New York makes this lounging area, adjacent to toilet rooms, a comfortable spot to rest while awaiting the "break." CURTAINS in the men's room give an unusual but homely touch! Note also the modern use of colored plumbing fixtures. COMFORT, homelike comfort is exemplified in the ladies' room of the Sheridan Theatre, Washington, D. C„ where the patron is accorded the same degree of nicety to which she is accustomed in her own home. PAPER TOWELS are not unknown here, but with the Sani-Dri device replacing their use for the most part, toilet room untidiness is minimized. SPACIOUSNESS is no handicap to good management as this men's room (in Chicago's Uptown Theatre) proves. The built-in Sani-Dri blower eliminated the need for paper towels and receptacles, thereby aiding in maintaining cleanliness.
