We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

THE EXTREME in marquee construction is evident in this night view. The rectangular upper portion carries the theatre name in neon and covers almost the entire sidewalk. The soffut has been purposely dimly lighted so as not to detract from the triangular lower portion on which is given the current attraction in modern silhouette letters. The soffut of this portion serves to illuminate the entrance and ticket booth. Vitrolite structural glass has been used to embellish the lower portions of the facade and entrance.
