We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

DESIGNED in a severe, simple manner, the auditorium is devoid of embellishment other than that inherent in the color and design of the Acoustone tile and plaster, with which the walls and ceiling are covered, further embellished and accentuated by the lighting scheme. Lighting coves on the walls and ceiling are continuous, and so arranged so that no patron, unless he deliberately turn around in his seat, can possibly be disturbed by the illumination. I SPACIOUSLY ARRANGED are the chairs, in the rows as well as in the individual chairs, some of which are 21 inches wide, others 24 inches. The rows are 36 to 40 inches apart. Velmo mohair is the upholstery material, an easily cleaned, long lived fabric. MORE LIKE A CLUB than a theatre is the Normandie Theatre lobby with its especially designed and manufactured furniture that insures patron satisfaction and comfort. Here again indirect lighting adds to the effectiveness of the simple architectural plan of the whole theatre.
