The side walls are covered in a designed, dark blue damask, which has been laid over hair felt to give excellent acoustical results. The wall covering is such that, even from a short distance, it gives the illusion of being a paint job instead of fabric. The illumination comes from the indirect lighting troughs in the ceiling and direct, built-in fixtures over the exit doors on either side of the proscenium.
