THE LOUNGE, more like an old New England parlor than a part of a modern theatTe, is this truly Colonial room, with its paneled walls and glazed Chinese red wall paper. THE AUDITORIUM has an interesting wall treatment: the use of four-by-four-foot squares of natural colored wall-board, stenciled to imitate Chinese wall paper in block form. The ceiling border carries out the theme further. Particularly notable and unusual in modern theatre construction — even when a Colonial motif is followed — are the chandeliers offering direct illumination to the auditorium.
