Hints on Newspaper Advertising
No. 24 — "Love Affair ” (RKO-Radio)
With a title and cast, as obtains in this RKO-Radio production, the advertising angles are pretty much pre-ordained: Irene Dunne, Charles Boyer, love, affair. That Eastern Showmen took good advantage of the combination is manifest in these lay-outs. While the Radio City Music Hall advertisements are page-stealers in any man’s newspaper, there is plenty of attention-getting packed into all the other lay-outs.

PRAISE FROM THE YALE NEWS FOR A GREAT MOTION PICTURE!
JOHN M. NELSON of THE YALE NEWS SAYS . . .
• After witnessing Claire Booth's expose of THE WOMEN on the Shubert stage this week ... it is practically IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ANKLE ACROSS THE STREET TO THE ROGER SHERMAN to see the talents of IRENE DUNNE in “LOVE AFFAIR” with CHAS. BOYER.
I stayed to see her twice ... a thing I could never be persuaded to do with other actresses in her category. It’s really worth tearing yourself away from the reserve book room for a first hand view.
