The conventioners heard, too, that "Man of Conquest,” the company’s big production, has its New York City premiere at the Capitol, a note for jubilation on the part of those present. Adams, franchise holder Herman Rifkin, Boston’s Nat Lefton, Washington’s Samuel M. Flax, Canadian franchise holder Paul Nathanson, Canada’s general manager A. W. Perry, Pittsburgh’s A. W. Perry, others. Republic plans 50 features for the coming season in addition to its serials, with 26 of the features "A” and the others in three eight-picture series of westeins, with the "B” product entirely eliminated. Among the guests of the company at the beefsteak dinner were Joseph Bernhard, Spyros Skouras, W. A Steffes, Joseph Pastor, Gene Picker, Aubrey Schenck, W. T. Powers, J. J. Sullivan, Fred Meyers, Max Fellerman, William White, Louis Webber, George Lynch, Charles Moss, Max Cohen, Al Suchman, Archie Silverman, Walter W. Vincent, Ed.
