SMfTMMTV VICTOR THE EXTERIOR at night is as brilliant as any downtown first-run theatre. Although there is nothing outstanding about the marquee, it still smacks of showmanship, with plenty of space to "sell" attractions. The box office is done in structural glass and stainless steel. Largest (2.560,401) of the five boroughs of the City of New York, Brooklyn is to be numbered among the most civic-minded areas of the U. S, Long before May 24, 1884, when the Brooklyn Bridge was first opened, were the good people of Brooklyn accustomed to point with pride to their bustling city. This year Brooklyn could point to another achievement, the new Nostrand Theatre, built by the Century Circuit, Inc., from the plans of New Ybrk's famed John Eberson. Seating nearly 1,000, the theatre, as is here shown, presents the modem theme at its best, created within the walls of a massive, confidence-inspiring structure, a credit to architect Eberson, the Century Circuit and the Borough of Brooklyn. 1939 PRESENTATION No. 11 The New NOSTRAND Brooklyn, N.
