MODERN SUPPLY DEALERS Number 4 in a Monthly Presentation oi the Leading Dealers in the East — CAPITOL THEATRE SUPPLY CO. 28 Piedmont Street. Boston. Mass. OCCUPYING A PLACE OF DISTINCTION among those catering to the needs of cinema operators of eastern Massachusetts is Boston's Capitol Theatre Supply Company. Ably presided over by Treasurer Kenneth Douglass and Manager Leon Foster (upper left) and their efficient staff (all of which, except the sound engineer and stage crew, who were out on a job, are seen in the upper right picture), the company has achieved an enviable reputation not only for service but for practicing what it preaches. Established in 1929. the quarters have twice been completely renovated, the last time (in 1938) with the complete sound-proofing and air conditioning of the entire establishment. Foster, one of Boston s first projectionists, is well equipped to advise patrons on these matters, to explain new equipment (left center). In the right center picture is seen a glimpse of the mezzanine where many an emergncy call has been handled and a service man sent scurrying to the place of the trouble. It is this reliable and efficient service that has saved theatremen of the area thousands of dollars. Lower right is seen the Carbondale air-conditioning equipment installed in the Capitol Theatre Supply Company's quarters. Besides serving the best interests of the company, the apparatus stands as the example on which to demonstrate the answer to exhibitors' queries on air conditioning. Capitol Theatre Supply Company stands ever ready to fill the anticipated, as well as the emergency, requirements of the exhibitor.
