Winchester MISS EDNA COURTNEY recently won the title "Miss Winchester" at a beauty pageant staged at Hable’s Palace. Miss Courtney will represent the Winchester V. F. W. at the state convention in Arlington in June. Woodstock BOB BAKER, Universal, made a personal appearance at the Community. W ytheville H. M. MOODY, manager, Millwald, has just returned to his duties after having been confined to his home with mumps. WEST VIRGINIA Cabin Creek Owner BROWN, Brown's, has just completed his remodeling throughout. He has installed the new Bodiform American seats, new projection, new RCA sound, and has completely air conditioned, using U. S. Air Conditioning equipment. Job was sold and installation supervised by H. (. GILBERT, Bluefield. St. Albans Alban, St. Albans, has just closed a contract with U. S. Air Conditioning Corporation for equipment to air condition their building whch was completed a year ago. VARIETY CLUB Tent No. 11, Washington Variety Club softballers, composed of employees of Washington film exchanges, last week announced the season’s schedule. May 5, Washington Club; May 8, New Deal; May 12, Kavakos Grill; May 16, Reliance Insurance; May 19, Washington Club; May 22, Norman Paint; May 26, New Deal; June 1, Reliance Insurance and June S, Kavakos Grill. All games begin at 5:30 P.M. at Sherwood Playground, 10th and G Streets, Northeast. The lads are raring to go and are in hopes of winning the league championship and then off to Chicago for the national finals. Tent No. 19, Baltimore The second annual golf tournament of Variety’s Tent No. 19 will be held June 16 at Baltimore’s sporty Rolling Road Country Club. For the affair, as announced by Chief Barker J.
