We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

14 THE EXHIBITOR RKO-RADIO’S “ABE LINCOLN IN ILLINOIS” PASSES HERE IN STILL REVIEW Offered here is a still preview of RKO-Radio’s “Abe Lincoln in Illinois.’' At the top of the page are seen studies of some of the principal characters, and, in the lower portion, a sketchy narrative summary. Notable for its similarity to a well-known pic ture is the “tintype” in the centre, with Mary Todd (Ruth Gordon) Lincoln, Robert (Edwin Mills), Willie (Sonnie Bupp), the President-to-Be (Raymond Massey), and Tad (Harry Blair). Gene Lockhart plays Douglas; Mary Howard, Ann Rutledge. January 24, 1940
