We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

THE EXHIBITOR 17 SELZNICK INTERNATIONAL’S LATEST, “REBECCA,” PASSES IN SUMMARY REVIEW A play without a title role, David O. Selznick’s production of Daphne du Maurier’s best-seller offers plenty on the selling side. The top portion of these pictures shows Judith. Anderson, Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier, and Miss Fontaine again, and a get scene showing director Alfred Hitchcock at work. The other 20 pictures, taken in order, left to right, top to bottom, tell the story of Miss Fontaine’s tribulations when she tries to buck the continuing influence of the deceased Rebecca.
