Calvin “Hap” Frank, Republi¬ can candidate for the State Legislature from Harrisburg, charged that “money in the Fifth and Sixth Precincts of the Seventh Ward last year came from the movie interests.” The Fifth Precinct of that district was one in which more votes were cast than there were registered electors, and two of seven persons were convicted of fraud in the Dauphin County Court. Sidman, serving as a moderator at the forum, replied to Frank as follows: “I don’t know of any medium of public expression that is as impartial as the movie industry.
