O. all the time. The Gem has just been remodeled at a cost of $22,000. A Seeburg organ is in transit and the seating capacity has been increased from 300 to 550. This house has two new De Luxe machines and a Gold King screen. WICHITA FALLS, TEX.— W. J. Johnson, manager of the Majestic Theatre, Wichita Falls, is busy remodeling his house and installing new leather upholstered chairs. This house has a seven-piece orchestra under the leadership of Raymond F. Adams. "Back to God's Country" is the Christmas attraction. RATON, N. MEX. — After driving among the clouds across the Continental Divide, we dropped into this thriving little town, and were given a cordial reception by J. U. Yaeger, manager of the Rex Theatre. Exhibitor Yaeger reports business never better and his house, which has a seating capacity of 730, plays to capacity all the time. The policy of this house is stage attractions and program pictures. C. U. Yaeger, son of Manager Yaeger, handles the Simplex. DES MOINES, N. MEX. — A. P. Haney, who runs the lighting plant of this city, also owns the Liberty Theatre, which has a seating capacity of 250. A new Mazda projection system has been recently installed in the Liberty and Exhibitor Haney reports that it is giving excellent service. This house plays two nights a week, showing First National, Select and Metro features. WICHITA FALLS, TEX.— The Plaza Theatre, under the efficient W. J. Wilkie, is standing them up at every performance. This house, which has a temporary canvas covering, is an airdome in the summer, and plays "tab," stock, and feature productions. WICHITA FALLS, TEX.— T. B. Noble, Jr., manager of the Empress Theatre, reports that this house has been purchased by the Lynch Southern Enterprises and that they will take possession January 1. Manager Noble has been retained to superintend the building of a new house in Wichita Falls for the Southern Enterprises, which will have a seating capacity of 1,600 and cost in the neighborhood of $125,000. "Topics of the Day" Give Valuable Help To Red Seal Drives The attention of fifteen million people is being drawn daily to the Red Cross Christmas Seal Campaign for 1919 by a special topic about this worthy work shown on the screen in a current program of The Literary Digest "Topics of the Day." Amedee J. Van Beuren, president of Timely Flms, Inc., producers of this popular screen subject, offered the co-operation of his organization for the Seal Campaign and it was readily accepted by James R. Crowell, Publicity Director of the Drive. Heading the current program is the following pertinent paragraph : 150,000 die of tuberculosis every year in the United States. You can help prevent this.
