Add Ventilating System The new ventilating system was installed at a cost of $1,020. There are two suction and exhaust fans and a number of smaller fans. Many other improvements, too numerous to mention, have also been put into effect. The claim is now made for the Garden theatre that it is one of the most modern and beautifully appointed in the state — a feat accomplished at an expense of $12,000 and a thing that is thoroughly appreciated by the city's theatre patrons as the throngs that gathered in front of the box office for the first show testified. Remodel Theatre In Detroit At a Cost of $75,000 What will probably take its place among the largest remodeling .jobs of the season is the improvements being made to the Plaza theatre, Detroit, Michigan. The entire work will entail an outlay of $75,000 and when the task is completed the Plaza will be a virtually new theatre in every respect. A prominent feature on the program is the installation of a an entire new front to the theatre. In conjunction with this the building will be enlarged by two stores, five offices, and a bowling alley in the basement. A Kimball organ has been purchased at a cost of $25,000. New scenery has also been contracted for from the Twin City Scenery Company. The theatre will also boast a new Wayne generator set. The remodeling also includes many improvements to the interior of the theatre. It is expected that the work will be completed and the house opened some time in October. Produces Revenue The Post-Cammack theatre at Spring Green, Wis., owned by G. F. Post. This theatre is a source of income to its owner as is apparent from a study of the accompanying picture. The PostCammack theatre Spring Green, Wis., not only has several stores adjoining but above the playhouse are living accommodations. This view taken shortly after its completion early this year. Spring Green is a city of 3,000 population. The theatre has a seating capacity of 450, and is owned by G. F. Post. It is strictly modern and is beautiful as well as practical. Quincy, 111. — John C. Miller has acquired the Colonial motion picture theatre in Quincy.
