24 EXHIBITORS HERALD November 12, 1927 That nose of Louis Wolheim (middle) was the “bone of contention” in dispatches last week. The star of “Two Arabian Knights,” United Artists, had his nose operated upon to facilitate breathing, but the contour was not changed, which leaves it the unique proboscis of pictures. Mrs. Wolheim and Lionel Barrymore also attended the Los Angeles premiere. Helen Foster has just been signed to a five years’ contract by Universal. She supports Jack Daugherty in “The Haunted Island,” a new serial thriller. She excels in mystery plays. A leopard can’t change his spots nor can a boy change his freckles. Which is well. Suppose John Fox, Jr., (right) had lost his facial pointages in the midst of the shooting of F B O’s “Freckles !” Frankie Darro has plenty, too. In fact, there seems to be an argument on totals. Just two young folk trying to get a long or longer — in the world. Della Peterson and Dorothy McNames appear in support in Educational pictures. And one might add that it takes a very good brand of support to do this, particularly as a pre-breakfast exercise.
