Howell, President of the Howell's Cine Equipment Company, arrived in town recently to attend the celebration of the sixth anniversary of the firm's existence. September 13th, 1919, Joe Hornstein organized the Howell's Cine, being located at the time at 729 7th Avenue. Joe was manager, salesman, stenographer, installation man and office boy, all at the same time. The firm has grown to such proportions that today, he occupies the entire building of the S. W. corner of 49th St. and Seventh Avenue. Thirty people are employed by him, and an average business of two million dollars a year is done. Hornstein is considered to be the leader of one of the largest supply dealers in the United States. Mr. Howell is returning to Los Angeles in a short time.
