Also a native of Victoria, Sally worked in the old Capitol Theatre for ten years before moving to Halifax in 1973 with her Navy husband. During her four years in Halifax, she worked in the Scotia Square Theatre and so has spanned the Famous ‘universe’ from East to West. After a rather hectic start, Jack, Sally and the theatre staff now find the layout of the Capitol Six practical and conducive to a quick turnaround of patrons after each performance. They are also excited about the large number of patrons they can handle efficiently at the candy bar due to the extensive counter space. . Jack and Sally are very proud of their theatre which they describe as beautiful and majestic — with a fantastic view from the manager’s office under the dome! From the comments of those people who have had the privilege of visiting this complex, it appears that Famous Players has added a very notable and impressive theatre to its chain, and Victoria has gained a building which is a classic of contemporary design. *
