Film and Communications Program: This program is one of three options offered by the Department of English, leading to both majors and honours degrees. The program concentrates on problems of human communication as they emerge through the study of film, print and electronic media. The emphasis is on analysis, criticism, historical perspectives, and continuities between modern media and other, older means of communicating thought and feeling. Some training in film and TV production is available, but not emphasized in this program.
