SaskFilm administers the Saskatchewan Film & Video Employment Tax Credit. The tax credit provides eligible production companies filming in Saskatchewan with a 35% rebate, up to 50% of the total production costs, based on the value of eligible salaries paid to Saskatchewan residents. The Ontario Arts Council offers various forms of assistance to artists in the Province of Ontario. Please contact the Art Services Department for additional information. OAC's Media Arts programs encourage the creation and production of media arts in Ontario, including film and video. Programs are available to emerging and experienced media artists and to media arts organizations.
Programs for Organizations
Artist-Run Centres: Media and Visual Arts Purpose: Provides annual grants to assist artist-run centres with expenses incurred in the creation, presentation and documentation of media and visual arts. Grants also assist with production, professional development, distribution and exhibition expenses.
Eligibility: This program is open to Ontariobased cooperatives of professional artists operating as not-for-profit organizations. Organizations must have been in operation for at least one year, have presented a full year of programming, and pay professional fees to exhibiting artists.
