SODEC assists Quebec producers and distributors through subsidies, loans and equity investments. Eligible projects include feature films, short and medium-length dramatic films, documentaries, made-for-TV movies and mini-series. SODEC also invests in the Quebec part of co-productions and at least 80 percent of its funding is allocated to projects produced in French.
SODEC also manages the Quebec Film and Production Tax Credit, a fiscal measure that amounts to 33 1/3% of eligible labour expenditures incurred by Quebec production corporations in the production of a certified film or television program, as well as the Quebec Production Services Tax Credit, which amounts to 119% of eligible labour expenditures incurred by an eligible corporation for the shooting of a production in Quebec.
Finally, the Quebec Film and Television Office (SODEC) works in cooperation with local industry organizations to assess and improve the local infrastructure. The Office also ensures the Province of Quebec has a presence at major world film events, visibility in international film publications, and is instrumental in developing contacts with industry decision-makers around the world. Services are provided free of charge to foreign producers and are designed to address the specific needs of filmmakers and film and television producers interested
in filming in Quebec. These services include:

e Service of professionals for script breakdowns and scouting for shooting locations.
e Assistance of professionals in visiting locations.
