The festival has two parts, a school program and a public portion, with some programming common to both. The school portion is aimed at Grades 3 and up, the public portion at ages 4 to 14. Both sections include filmrelated workshops and ancillary activities, presented by some of Toronto’s leading craftspeople.
The festival screens family-oriented live action features, feature length animation, and both animated and live action shorts. Curatorial preference is given to films that have been neither broadcast nor theatrically released in Canada before. SPROCKETS takes place in April of each year.
