Website: www.cinema.concordia.ca Cinema is composed of three areas: Film, Animation, Film Production and Film Studies. One factor which distinguishes the School's program from many others in cinema is that Concordia’s are offered through the Faculty of Fine Arts; thus, each program approaches the subject maiter first as a means of artistic and cultural expression. Consequently, a central aim of these programs is to prepare students to become filmmakers, film animators or film historians/critics/theorists who have a two-fold awareness: one aspect involves the artistic and cultural potential of their medium; the other, its history and traditions.
