DECEMBER 7th, 1953 The action of Commissioner of Public Safety, Bernard Berry of Jersey City, against the owners and manager of the Stanley Theatre charging the possession of "an obscene, indecent and immoral film", was thrown out by the HUDSON COUNTY GRAND JURY on December 8, 1953, thus opening the way for showings of "THE MOON IS BLUE" in Jersey City the beginning of January.
