Madison, Wis. — Hearing on the plan for financial reorganization of the Beecroft Building Co., owner of the Orpheum, Strand and Parkway theaters here, has been adjourned until June 15. Milwaukee — Russell Leddy, former local theater manager and now production manager of radio station WISN, is recovering from injuries received in a recent auto accident. Boston, Mass. — Dick Rubin, Francis Leydon, Arthur Howard and Walter Littlefield of the Independent Exhibitors left by automobile on Friday morning for Atlanta to attend the Allied convention. Nathan Yamins and E. M. Loew left by train later. New London, Conn. — In a head on collision between their automobile and a light truck on the Boston Post Road, Maurice H. Rabanus, salesman for M-G-M out of New Haven, and William H. Costello, a friend of his, were killed last week. San Francisco — Warner Bros.' "G Men" will be held over for a fourth week's run at the St. Francis Theater, where it has been doing sensational business. The picture had its San Francisco premiere at the Warfield Theater, from where it was switched to the St. Francis following an exceptional week at the former house. Hollywood — Stuart Walker is nursing a broken ankle. He fell while directing a picture at Universal. Wilmington, Del. — Joe DeFiore, manager of the Park, is running for the city council. Philadelphia — Sam Rosen, First Division manager, celebrates his 20th wedding anniversary on May 26 with a party to be attended by about 300. Philadelphia — Bill Samon is now with the Comerford circuit. John Guerk has gone to New York to work with Ed Peskay for Skouras. Glen Lyon, Pa. — Jerome Engel has taken over the Newport theater. Williamstown, Pa. — Mack Rubinsky is now operating the Lyric theater. Philadelphia — Mrs. Hester M. Frye of Waynesburg has been named as member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Motion Picture Censors to succeed Mrs. Mary J. Kerr of Connellsville, whose term expired. The post carries an annual salary of $4,500, with the appointment running until January, 1939. Hollywood — Arch Selwyn, former Broadway producer, has started activity as part of the firm of ZanftEvens, Ltd., & Arch Selwyn.
