G. ON AVERAGE Average of 10 theater issues for the first four months of 1935 shows an increase in value of 17.4 per cent compared to a rise of 54.6 per cent in the corresponding period of 1934. This group includes Loew's Theater & Realty Corp. first lien, 6s 1947, Paramount Theaters (Allied Owners) first 6s 1945, Fox Theater & Office Building first 6s, of 1941, and the Roxy Theater, first 6&S, 192840. Cleveland Clips Cleveland — Martin Printz has closed with J. S. Jossey to stare "Bank Night" at the Alhambra early in June. This will be the second local house to take on "Bank Night." M. B. Horwitz' Haltnorth started it a week ago and reports it was a success. Jos,sey is "Bank Night" franchise owner in this territory and reports he has close to a dozen Cleveland deals now pending. Joe Loeffler and Joe Lefko have taken over the Ohio distribution of "Lucky," a type of screen lotto. Mrs. Fred Reichert has leased the Lyon at Port Clinton and both the Lyon and Madrid are being managed by Carl Miller. It is understood that Francis Reeh and associates plan to open a new picture house in Port Clinton about Sept. 1. They also plan to open i. new house in Tiffin. Mrs. Stone, daughter of the former owner of the Apollo theater, Oberlin, and her husband have taken over the Idol, Lodi, Ohio, as of June 2. Salt Lake Briefs Salt Lake City — Prices at the Studio, a Fanchon & Marco house, under the direct management of J. Gleason, have been raised to a 50 cent top due to the fact that first runs shown at the Orpheum, also a Fanchon & Marco house, have been transferred to the Studio. Prices at the Victory, a Salt Lake Publix, Inc., house, have been lowered this week with the top now 25 cents instead of 35 cents. Manager Clare Woods of the Paramount here announces a holdover of "Naughty Marietta," for a few days. Prices were raised here for this showing to a 50-cent top according to report. "Baboona" is being held over for a few days at the Victory here; the. companion picture on this holdover bill is "It's a Small World." The Italian-American Civic League will present an Italian war film here within the next few days. Sunday Shows Hearing Today Harrisburg — Film industry forces will throw their weight in behalf of Sunday shows when the State Legislature today holds a hearing on the bill to authorize local determination of the issue. The hearing begins at 2 p. m.
