Golf Classic to be Film Tournament Highlight
The classic struggle between the M. P. Club Team and the AMPA will be renewed with a vengeance at the Twenty-third Film Daily Golf Tournament. The Place: Progress Country Club, White Plains, N. Y. The Time: June 12th.
The AMPA Team will be selected from the golfers who qualify at the matches to be played on Saturday, June 1, at the Rockville Country Club, Rockville Center, L. I. Tom Gerety, Team Captain, will supervise the play.
So all AMPA members who kid themselves that they are good enough to compete, get in touch with Mister Gerety at Metro. Players ol course will pay their own green fees.
There is a lot of secrecy in the preparations being made by the M. P. Club to repeat their last year's trouncing of the AMPA Team. It seems that the AMPA lads have spread the report that they lost last year on a fluke, and that the opposition won't be able to repeat on their merits as golf players. Be that as it may, it's going to be a hot contest either way.
Now don't wait till the last day to send in your entry. Use the coupon that appears on this page. Send in your bid so that the committee can start lining things up. Help them make this the greatest of the entire series of Tournaments. Your prompt co-operation will be appreciated.
You intend to be there. So why not send your check NOW?
