Weeks also has closed a deal with M. A. Lightman and the Malco Circuit for the playing of 16 GB pictures. Both Lightman and Cullman spoke at the GB sales session yesterday.
New Chicago Company To Produce in Florida
Chicago — .Sunshine Productions, z newly formed production company with headquarters in Florida, has opened executive offices here and has announced that a production schedule soon will be started at itf studios outside of Miami. The company is composed of Chicago business men. It has taken over some 160 acres of land near Miami anc a sound studio will be constructed. Robert Hackett, formerly with Universal, Pathe, and other studios, heads the production staff. Byrdine Zuber is his assistant, and John Muehl is cameraman. First production of the new company will be a commercial film for several Florida promotional interests. It also is planned to produce several series of one-reel pictures of several type? and a six-reel feature tentatively titled "The Hideout."
DuWorld Handling Distribution
DuWorld Pictures will henceforth handle distribution of its own product in the New York territory but will continue to use state-right exchanges outside New York to obtain national distribution. First deal of the new DuWorld exchange was the booking of "The Last Wilderness" over thp entire New York RKO circuit.

The Palace in Fort Wayne has inaugurated a new vaudeville and picture iprogram. A. J. Kaliber is the new manager of the house.
The new theater in Washington, Ind., is nearing completion and will have its formal opening about June 1. Harry Palmer will be the manager.

L. F. Kennedy, has completed direction of the first of a series of shorts to be produced by "Fashion Magazine of the Screen." Walter Sheridan assisted Kennedy and Joe Ruttenberg was responsible for the photography. Interiors were filmed at the Biograph Studio.
"Blue Light" Chicago Sendoff
Chicago — Premiere of "The Blue Light," DuWorld release, at the World Playhouse will be preceded by a luncheon and preview sponsored by the Chicago Drama League. Helen Hayes and the "Mary of Scotland" company will attend the preview.
