Mascot Pictures plans production if )f 24 features and four serials for L935-36, it was said yesterday at the Mascot offices. Included in the 24 features are eight musical westerns md four specials in addition to the egular program of 12 pictures.

Fox will not start releasing 20th Century pictures until Fall, when the new Darryl Zanuck product goes into dis"bution. The deal now in negotian under which Joseph M. Myers Foresees New Industry Tribunal
With Passing Out of the NRA Codes
Commenting on the demise of the motion picture code, Abram F. Myers, chairman and general counsel of Allied States Ass'n, said yesterday:
"For passing of a grand concept, regrets; for terminating abuse of that concept, hallelejah. The ideal of self regulation of in
dustry through cooperation is not dead, but has a new birth. Future relations between different divisions of the motion picture industry must be on a basis of recognition of rights of all concerned, plus a genuine desire to promote interests of the industry as a whole. 265 Attending Fox Sales Convention
Making it the biggest sales concention in its history, Fox will have 265 delegates in attendance at the sessions May 30-June 1 in the Congress Hotel, Chicago. On the first day, S. R. Kent, John D. Clark and other executives will outline plans for 1935-36 distribution, and there will be a discussion of foreign department plans by Clayton P. Sheehan, addresses by guest speakers George Weeks, Louis Hyman and
Spyros Skouras, and various talks on short subjects on the new schedule by E. W. Hammons, Jack Skirball and W. J. Clark. W. J. Kupper, Western divisional sales manager, will discuss distribution plans at the afternoon session.

Los Angeles — It is reliably reported that at meeting yesterday of Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin and Samuel Goldwyn it was decided that no producer will be named president of United Artists. It was at first believed that Goldwyn would be
made president but the conference decided that some distribution executive should head the company. Chaplin will make two pictures for next season's program, his present one and a talker starring Paulette Goddard which he will also direct. Mary Pickford expects to make four

Code Authority Told to
Cease Activities All
Along the Line
Machinery of the motion picture code came to a standstill yesterday when, pursuant to the U. S. Supreme Court decision finding the NRA unconstitutional, a Washington order instructed the Code Authority to suspend activities all along the line. Simultaneously Tyree Dillard Jr., counsel for the Authority, wired all code boards to cease receiving and hearing complaints pending further advices.
