Naming Photo Color Receiver Appointment of a receiver for Photo Color Corp. and Photo Color Pictures, Inc., will be made in a few days following the granting of an application by Supreme Court Jusice Lauer to the Attorney General's office. The two companies and four of their officers and directors were found by Justice Lauer to have violated the Martin Act against fraudulent sale of securities. Individual defendants include John A. Bolles, Frank E. Nemec, Henry A. Tupper and Arthur Waddingham. The court conceded that they did not have knowledge of the alleged misrepresentations. Releasing Jungle Film Screen Attractions Corp. will shortly release its newly-completed 12-episode serial, "Queen Of the Jungle," and the feature version of the serial titled "White Jungle Goddess," it was said yesterday by M. Kleinerman, president. Reed Howes and Mary Kornman are featured in the serial, which was directed by Robt. Hill under supervision of I. E. Chadwick. Continental rights to the serial have been sold to British Continental Corp. Morris Meyerfeld Dead San Francisco — Morris Meyerfeld, Jr., 80, who headed the old Orpheum Circuit for 23 years until his retirement in 1920, died at his home here Thursday. Martin Beck and John Morrissey were associated with him in building up the group of vaudeville and picture houses later acquired by RKO. Laudy Lawrence in Hospital Laudy Lawrence, M-G-M foreign department exective who arrived on the Normandie Thursday, was a patient at the Jewish Hospital, Brooklyn, yesterday, receiving treatment for a wrenched neck. He sustained the injury while exercising in the ship's gymnasium several days ago. Clara Kimball Young Signed West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — Clara Kimball Young has been signed for one of the leading roles in Columbia's "Atlantic Adventure." Rlumberg at RKO Canadian Meet Toronto — Nate Blumberg, general manager of RKO theaters, attended a meeting here yesterday of the board of directors of the RKO Canadian Corp. and afterwards left for New York. Hungarian Film Barred Albany — Holding: that it mocks religion, justice and society generally, the Hungarian picture, "Spring Shower," has been denied a license in this state. 12 Pictures Planned By British Lion Unit British Lion's 1935-36 production schedule provides 12 or 13 features, said Sam W. Smith, managing director, in New York yesterday, following his arrival from London. The six features he has brought over are for release here during the new year, he said. Smith admitted that new moves are planned by British Lion, but would not confirm or deny the report that N. L. Nathanson and Lord Beaverbrook are identified with the company's reorganization plan. "Extase" Trial Set for Tuesday Judge Knox of U. S. District Court has granted the motion of Eureka Productions for a preference of the trial of the action brought by the Government against Eureka for the forfeiture of the film known as "Extase," and has set the case down for trial next Tuesday at 2 P. M. Eureka has made arrangements to show the film in the courtroom on that day. Don Dean to Make Film Tests Don Dean, American band leader who has been headlining in the Argentine and recently appeared in a Spanish-dialogue feature, "Idolos de la Radio," made in Buenos Aires, is on his way to the coast to visit his parents and make screen tests for two studios. He arrived in New York this week from South America by plane. Braddock for Films James J. Braddock, new heavyweight champion, has been set for a nationwide theatrical tour arranged by the William Morris Agency, whose Hollywood office also is negotiating a film contract for him. Idea is to star the champ in a story written around his early struggles and meteoric rise. "Sanders" at Riivoli Wednesday "Sanders of the River," London Films production distributed by United Artists, will have its premiere Wednesday at the Rivoli, following "Let 'Em Have It." The picture opens the same day at the Stanley, Philadelphia. Italian Film for Westminster Westminster Cinema, heretofore devoted to British productions, will present the American premiere of the Italian musical comedy, "L'Eredita dello Zio . . . Buonanima" ("The Rich Uncle") on June 28. Film is being released in this country by Metropolis Pictures Corp. Additional Columbia Stock Listing Application has been filed by Columbia with the New York Stock Exchange to list voting trust certilicates for an additional 5,148 shares of no-par common stock. English Musical for Cameo "Her Song of Love," English musical with Derek Oldham, Vesta Victoria and Jean Adrienne, will have its American premiere Tuesday at the Cameo. Coming and Goin<# AL ALT arrives Monday from Hollywood. MARY J. KRELLBERG sails July 3 on the Washington for a European tour. CLARENCE BROWN, M-G-M director, who has just completed work on "Anna Karenina," in which Greta Garbo is starred, is scheduled to arrive in New York this morning by plane from Hollywood. AL ROSEN has returned to the Coast from New York. BILL ROBINSON, who recently finished a featured dancing role in RKO's "Hooray for Love," arrived in New York yesterday from the coast. He returns to the RKO lot in the fall. IRVING BERLIN left yesterday for Hollywood to resume work at RKO on the score for "Follow the Fleet," Astaire-Rogers film. HARRY RICE, U. A. exploiteer, has arrived in Columbus to put over the opening of "Sanders of the River" at the Ohio. MONROE W. GREENTHAL leave by plane for the Coast today to arrange for the United Artists convention in Hollywood. EDWARD EVERETT HORTON, with his mother and brother; SIR WILLIAM WISEMAN, MRS. ERNO RAPEE and RADIE HARRIS sail today on the Normandie for abroad. WALT DISNEY, who is now motoring through Europe, returns to this country in August.
