Benny and his radio troupe as well as members of the pix's cast will be present, and Benny's last Coast-to-Coast radio program of the season will be broadcast from the Genesee Theater, Waukegan, in connection with the premiere. Fox, Detroit, Cuts Scale; General Reduction Feared Detroit — Possibility of a general cut in admission prices looms here, as the Fox Theater drops prices a dime tomorrow, with probability that similar change will take place at the Michigan Theater. Product Shortage Seen in St. Louis by F & M St. Louis — Citing an anticipated shortage of product, F & M is considering closing one of its four first-runs until Fall. As a preliminary move, staffs of all four have been given two weeks' notice. Ampa to Honor Trotta Today Over 150 representatives of the film and art fields will assemble at the Ampa luncheon today at the Hotel Astor to pay tribute to Vincent Trotta, head of Paramount Pictures Art Department. The occasion is the twenty-fifth anniversary of Trotta's association with Paramount. This will be the last regular meeting of Ampa for the Spring season. John Barrymore III Chicago — John Barrymore suffered a heart attack here and was ordered under an oxygen tank because of a deficiency of oxygen in the blood stream. He is expected to resume his role in "My Dear Children" Monday night. Postpone UTO Meeting Springfield, 111. — Meeting of United Theater Owners of Illinois, new exhibitor organization, scheduled to be held here yesterday, has been postponed one week. Duals at Loop Garrick Chicago — B & K is experimenting with double features again at the Garrick in the Loop. NLRB Meets Again Today On WB Bookkeepers' Strike Further meeting will be held today at the National Labor Relations Board office between the American Federation of Bookkeepers' Stenographers and Accountants union and Warners to discuss the strike called by the union at a Warner warehouse over dismissal of employes who are members of the union. Picketing is being continued by the union at the Warner offices and at several theaters where Warner pictures are playing. TMAT Strike Now Includes 9 of Five Boro's Theaters Strike called by the TMAT against the Five Boro Circuit, following refusal of the circuit to recognize the union as a bargaining agent for its members, has been extended to two more of the circuits houses, making the total now nine, it was learned last night. The Star and Dover houses are now being picketed in addition to the original seven that were struck. Wanger to Make Five, Not Six, for 1939-40 West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — Walter Wanger will contribute five instead of the originally announced six pix for the UA 1939-40 lineup. In addition to "Winter Carnival" and "House Across the Bay," titles announced at the UA sales meet, Wanger will make "Whose Wife?", "My Personal Life" and "Send Another Coffin." Ratoff to Direct 'Intermezzo' West Coast Bureau of THE FILM DAILY Hollywood — Gregory Ratoff will direct "Intermezzo" for Selznick International in place of William Wyler who has to report to Samuel Goldwyn to direct "Hans Christian Andersen" which goes into production in July. Office Spain Still Uncertain in Jack Segal, Columbia's manager of foreign exchange operation, just back from a trip abroad, states that reopening of Columbia's office in Spain depends upon the findings of a Spanish government commission now studying the situation. Future plans for French production for Columbia are not set, he I stated, adding that a new deal with Irving Asher to produce four pix | for Columbia in England was under discussion.
