He was a member of the Motion Picture Associates, the Motion Picture Bookers Club, and veteran of World War I. Home offices of most of the major producer distributor companies as well as leading indies will shutter al day Friday in observance of Columbus Day, their front offices decided yesterday. Formal declarations that the holiday would be completely observed came from Paramount, M-G-M, 20thFox, RKO Radio, and Monogram. Word that "nothing official yet" issued from Republic and PRC, but officials of Columbia, UA and Universal clarioned that their home offices would close Friday at 1 p.m., thus giving their employes a half day. Warner Bros, official channels could not be reached last night, but expectations are that they will adhere, along with the other members of the so-called Big Five, to the allday lockdown. Name James Wolcott to Audience Research Posts James L. Wolcott who recently resigned as production manager of The Mai'ch of Time has been appointed vice-president, general manager and a director of Audience Research, Inc., it was announced yesterday by Albert E. Sindlinger, executive vice-president. Wolcott will make his headquarters in Princeton, N. J., ARI's home office and plans to move his family there. Mrs. Louis Domm Dies Osgood, Ind. — Mrs. Louis Damm, who operated the Damm Theater here since her husband's death several years ago, died at her home.
