Winifred Dunn, who has been in the scenario department of the R-C .Studios in California for about a year, is expected in New York shortly. She has completed her work with the company.
Hepworth Seeking £150,000

Oswego Strand Cuts Prices

Oswego, N. Y. — The Strand has chopped its prices. Orchestra seats are down to 25 cents and balcony admissions to 20 cents. Children have a 10 cent rate.
The Theatrical Square Club, which is affiliated with National League of Masonic Clubs, will give its first annual entertainment and ball on March 21st. at the Yorkville Casino. The proceeds will go toward a relief fund for the benefit of sick members.

Buys "Lotus Blossom" for Abroad
Di Lorenzo, Inc., has secured the foreign rights to "The Lotus Blossom." China, Japan, the Phillipines and the Hawaiian Islands have already been sold.
Bonistall Joins Gunning
W'id Gunning, Inc., announces that Frank C. Bonistall has been appointed manager of the Pittsburgh exchange. Bonistall has been with Famous Players and Associated Producers.
Boston Bound
Louis Baum of Equity and Nat Levine of Plymouth Pictures, Inc., went to Boston last night to close that territory on some pictures.
In the Courts
Three suits have been filed in. the Supreme Court against Laura J. Starke Belknap to recover damages for breach of an agreement to buy back stock she is alleged to have sold in the Talking Motion Pictures. A suit by Frederic C. Leubuscher, lawyer, alleges that she signed an agreement stating that she had invested more than $100,000 in Talking Motion Picture stock and agreed if the plaintifif would take ten shares at $100 a share she would buy it back at that price with interest if he wanted to sell it. He alleges she has refused to do so. Robert Schalkenbach has sued for $5,000 paid for stock under a similar agreement and for $5,000 on a note while Edmund Wheelock sues for $5,000 paid for stock.
The Atlas Film Corp., of Boston, has sued the Pioneer Film Corp. in the Supreme Court to restrain the Pioneer from continuing to exploit and distribute the pictures, "The Place of Honeymoons" and the "Sonny Series," on the ground that the defendant has broken i«:s contract as distributor, and has "tried to cheat and defraud the plaintiff out of its just share of the proceeds." It is also alleged that the defendant has failed to exploit the "Sonny Series" in the manner agreed, and refuses to make reports as required.
Edith Roberts has signed with R-C, to play the leading feminine role in "The Son of the Wolf."
