Manager Schaak, of the Keystone, has taken over the Panorama on Sheridan Road. The Chatham. 75th & Cottage Grove Ave., a 1500 seat theater, will open about the first of May under management of Jack Cooney. Barney Ziv, formerly with the Chicago American, has been appointed publicity manager for the Chatham. The Elliott Amusement Enterprises are now located at 806 S. OS Wanger Introduces Novelty According to a special cable to the Times, Walter Wanger has introduced a novelty in London in a combination of films and dance numbers. The Times say Wanger arranged for a troupe of Russian dancers, headed by Massine and Lopokova, to give tlic ballet for the season dances including Stravinsky's "Ragtime" and Joliann Strauss's "Fanatics of Pleasure," which were presented after the siiovving of the film. Liabilities Placed at $99,618 The Frohman .Amusement Corp., has filed schedules in bankruptcy through the receivers. Liabilities of $99,618 were listed and assets unstated. The principal creditors listed are the Commonwealtli Film Corp., $15,000, secured; H. Maynard Kimherland. Robert Cain has signed a year's contract with Famous Players to play leading roles. He leaves for Hollywood this week. The Cummings Laboratories have moved to the Canadian Pacific Bldg., at Madison Ave. and 44th St. The United Society of Cinematographers has moved from 251 W. 42nd St., to Room 315, Putnam Bldg. Miss Bert Parker has established offices in the State Bldg., where she will continue to buy for the foreign market. Forrest Halsey has been engaged by Edgar Selden, of Worth While Pictures, to prepare the script for "On the Banks of the Wabash," for Madge Evans. Primrose Carryl, daughter of Ivan Carryl the noted composer, has gone into pictures. Her first appearance will be with William Farnum in ".Shackles of Gold." Show Moore Film at Ritz "Reported Missing," the new Owen Moore comedy was shown privately at the Ritz last night. Lasky Week-Ending Jesse L. Lasky spent a few hours at his office yesterday and in the afternoon left for Adolph Zukor's country place to snend the week end. May Star Santley Robert Edgar Long, press representative for Joseph Santley, says that Santley has been made an offer by a big producing company to .star him in "\Vhen Dreams Come True." the musical comedy in which he appeared three years ago. Rapf Leaves Tomorrow Harry Rapf leaves for the coast tomorrow to start work on "From Rags to Riches," starring Wesley Barry. Production starts Mav 1st. "Clementina" Her Last Pauline Frederick will make her farewell bow on the screen in "The Glory of Clementina." She has signed a contract with A. H. Woods to return to the stage. Cummings Producing Independently (Special to THE FILM DAILY) Los Angeles — Irving Cummings 1 has actively entered the producing I field as an independent. His first pic, ture is "The Man from Hell's River," which is being distributed through Western Pictures Exploitation Co. The second is now in production with Edith Roberts, Noah Beery and Jack Mulhall. Cummings wrote the story, directed and appears in "Hell's River." PatlieNew?
