Birmingham — The Steed Amusement Co., is adding a new theater to its chain and is naming it the Woodlawn. The house has 500 seats and will be a community theater. J. W. Anderson will manage it.
Third St. Louis House Closed

St. Louis — Director of Public Safety McKelvey has ordered the closing of the Midway Grand at Washington, after two engineers found the roof supports in an unsafe condition. The Midway is the third closed by McKelvey in the past few weeks.

Winner With Famous Player

The committee in charge of the forthcoming Spring Golf Tournament for film folk will entertain a proposition to be made by the golf committee in charge of the Famous Players tournament, that the winner of THE FILM DAILY event meet the winner of the Famous Players tourney for special prizes, and the glory of being the best film golfer in and around New York.
Details will be arranged later, but the indications today are that the Famous Players event, which is in charge of Eugene Zukor and Oscar Morgan, will follow the Spring tournament by about two weeks. The winners of the lowest net score and winners of other branches of the play will meet the same winners of the Famous Players event at Adolph Zukor's farm. New City, about two weeks after the Famous tournament.
Entries are coming in rapidly and there is every indication that there will be a record crowd at the event. Felix Feist is in charge of the committee which will select the course, and promises this will be settled this week. The Rules Committee in charge of E. Kendall Gillette of the Motion Picture News is arranging details of the play. Full announcement later.
