The Felts' last venture was not successful. They built the Aldine and the Ambassador, and later acquired the Aldine, Wilmington, and the Aldine, Pittsburgh. The latter proved unprofitable, the Ambassador was leased to Nixon-Nirdlinger, and the Aldine to the Stanley Co. In its original form, it was a six reeler but was later edited down to three. There is a story thread running through but the entire cast is composed of dogs, chicken, turkeys and mice. The French title was "Betes-Comme les Hommes" but the American title will be "Hot Dog." Fequeant is said to have made the picture because of his love for animals. It was more of a pleasure task than an attempt to turn out a commercial piece of property.
